Vision

The Interpretive Visualization (IVIS) Group at the University of Toronto, creates and studies visual explanations informed by, but not explicitly based on, empirical data. Needs assessment, and an iterative design process are essential in the development and communication of media-based health information.

The development of online learning has made the Internet an increasingly important vehicle for the dissemination of health information to both health professionals and health-care consumers. IVIS Group continually explore medical visualization issues.
